Serving our community since 2006
I think it’s really important to find a company that knows the neighborhood, knows the community. Assured is a company that’s been around since 2006 and has made a great devoted effort to understand the technology and to know its neighbors. And I think that that leaves us in a position that lets neighbors know that they’re going to have somebody who knows them, answer the phone, be able to look at your system and know what’s going on, and help you feel confident that you’ve got a power source that you can rely on, help you control your home, and have an investment that’s going to continue to serve you.
A good investment
The cost of energy is costly. Right now is actually a great time to go solar. You are locking in your energy costs for the next 25 years. The payback time is a little different for everyone, but we’re looking at between 5 to 8 years of payback. And every single time your electricity bill goes up, that payback time shortens. So, it’s not just about being good for the environment, it’s also about being good for your wallet. It makes sense to do because the technology in these panels lasts a minimum of 25 years at this point. So, it it’s just a good investment.
ThE Reviews...Jess
[Music] Hi, I’m Jess. I am the owner and farmer of Two Hands Farm that I run with my partner Vanessa here in Cumberland, Maine. We grow veggies, we have chickens for eggs, and we have dairy goats. Obviously, as a farm, growing food for people, we want to do it in the most sustainable way possible for this planet. So, we were looking into solar as a sustainable way to get energy for our farm, for our walk-in coolers, for our farm stand, and for any equipment that we run here on the farm. And so, that is why we originally looked into solar. And then, obviously, the financial component of long-term renewable energy instead of fossil fuels every year.
Honestly, you guys were really easy to work with. uh you were super knowledgeable and made everything really easy in terms of the forms and communication because a lot of this, especially with solar and the way that we got it through the reap grant, there’s a lot of confusing paperwork and red tape. So, it was really easy for you guys to get what we wanted from start to finish. Just have it set up.
About Page Videos
your local solar company since 2006
We started Assured Solar in 2006 and at that time it was myself and my next door neighbor and another electrician. And that that time we did both the solar thermal and solar electric systems. I got into solar in the late ’70s and we were installing solar hot water systems in the local Falmouth, Maine area some in Yarmouth. There wasn’t a big thing but there was a little bit of a business there. You know, I like technology, kind of been on the bleeding edge of technology all the way. As things develop over the years even in the 80s when I was working at combustion engineering saw the game being played with with oil and manipulation of the prices and the oil crisis in the early 70s. I I believe, and a lot of people don’t talk about it, but I believe it’s a national security imperative to have domestic energy. Electricity, in most cases, if somebody got a good location we can generate enough electricity from the typical house or business to cover their annual needs. The solar business is often called the solar coaster because you have changes in foreign policy with tariffs and changes in technology and incentives and local and state policies. So it keeps you hopping, keeps you hopping, and that’s been interesting.
